Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our Chapter. We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. EAA Chapter 1612 began as EAA UL Chapter 98 in the 1980s. Over the years the chapter members and interest changed. UL Chapter 98 was reorganized as EAA Chapter 1612 in January 2018.
Our meetings are held on the second Saturday of the month with a few exceptions. Meetings are a Fly-In/Drive-in lunch with the chapter meeting following starting at 11:30 AM. The July and August are the exception and are a Fly-In/Drive-in Breakfast with the chapter meeting following starting at 8:30 AM. We welcome everyone who has an interest or a desire to learn about all things aviation.
Our chapter is part of the worldwide network of EAA chapters. EAA embodies the spirit of aviation through the world's most engaged community of aviation enthusiasts. EAA's 160,000 plus members enjoy the fun and camaraderie of sharing their passion for flying, building and restoring recreational aircraft.
